Ukrainian tennis player Svitolina becomes world No. 6

22.05.2017 11:36 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of yesterday, Elina Svitolina won the Italian Open by beating Simona Halep 4–6, 7–5, 6–1 within the women’s final, Ukrinform says referring to XSport reports. As to the report, Ukrainian No. 1 has thus become No. 6 within the world rating. Reportedly, the Ukrainian tennis player scored 900 rating points and will leave behind Caroline Wozniacki, Svetlana Kuznetsova, Dominika Cibulkova and Johanna Konta. In addition, the Svitolina has headed the WTA champion race. She is now ahead of Karolina Pliskova in this ranking by more than 300 points. It is to be admitted, the victory in Rome became the fourth title for the Ukrainian tennis player this season and the second one in the Premier 5 tournament.
