Grand light show to last three days in Kyiv

08.05.2017 15:48 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — In Kyiv, the opening of the Kyiv Lights Festival, the first international festival of light and media arts, will be held on Poshtova Square on May 12 at 21:00, Ukrinform says referring to Eurovision.ua report. «The festival will last for three days and, according to the organizers, it will completely change the architectural view of the Ukrainian capital. During this time, the people of Kyiv and foreign visitors will be able to see the main achievements of video designers, light and laser artists, VJs and contemporary artists from Europe, Asia and Australia,» the report reads. As to the report, participation in the out-of-competition program of Australian artist Craig Walsh will become a great event of the light show. He is famous throughout the world for his unique light installations, for the creation of which he uses environmental features. His innovative projects on water surface and trees will be shown for the first time in Ukraine. Reportedly, Kontraktova Square, Poshtova Square, Mykhailivska Square and Andriivsky Descent will be the main locations of Kyiv Lights Festival. It is to be admitted, video artists from all over the world are invited to take part in 3D mapping and VJing international competition. The work of the Kyiv Lights Festival participants will be judged by an international jury.
