Ukraine exports 35 mln tons grains since Jul 2016

Since the beginning of the 20162017 marketing year (MY, Jul 2016 Jun 2017), Ukrainian agrarians have exported 35.02 million tons grains, UNIAN says referring to the Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry press service report.
As to the report, agrarians have exported 14.99 million tons wheat, 4.9 million tons barley, 14.93 million tons maize, and 4,300 tons rye.
Reportedly, within the period under review, agrarians have also shipped abroad some 299,400 tons flour (298,200 tons wheat flour and 1,200 tons other types of flour).
As to the earlier report, Ukrainian agrarians are going to export 41.6 million tons grains within 20162017 MY (a record high figure). The previous record was registered within 20152016 MY when grains exports totaled 39.4 million tons.
It is to be admitted, as to the Ukrainian State Statistics Service, Ukraine harvested 65.95 million tons grains/leguminous crops within 2016 (up 9.7% against 2015). It was also a record for the whole period of the country independence.
