As of yesterday, while speaking within the II Ukrainian Business Forum, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman said five key reforms that the Government planned to implement within 2017 are pension reform, land reform, health care reform, and those of education and public privatization - which are to put Ukraine on the track of sustainable economic growth, Government Portal reports.
«We assume that within 2017 we must pursue 5 crucial reforms for our country. When asked what should be done to change the situation in the country and to make it rather sustainable, I assure you that there are 5 positions that will lead and return us to the path of sustainable economic growth,» Groisman stressed.
So, as to him, the Government will shortly come out with propositions and real calculations of how to hold a fair pension reforms that will guarantee within the medium-term period the pension system to be deficit-free.
As to Groisman, the Cabinet is also going to carry out an open, competitive sale of over 3,500 State-owned companies, which are rather ineffective, being the source of corruption and working in the interest of those who engage within their management at different levels.
«They (inefficient State-owned companies) are costly for the Ukrainian economy and hampering economic growth,» he stressed.
