Ministry of Agrarian Policy commissioned Agrarian Fund to purchase 2006 grain 565,000 MT for food reserve

As to Ministry of Agrarian Policy Decree № 282 (Jul 7, 2006), Ministry has approved Agrarian Fund proposal on forming of 565,000 MT grain/180,000 MT sugar food reserve within 2006. This food reserve volume shares 10% total country internal grain/sugar consumption. As earlier reported, Ministry of Agrarian Policy had established 2006/07 MY (Jul/06-Jun/07) grains minimal and maximal purchase prices, with minimal prices fixed as much as: UAH700 per MT (3 class wheat), UAH610 per MT (4 class wheat), UAH520 per MT (5 class wheat), UAH540 per MT (Group A,1 class rye), UAH500 per MT (Group A,2 class rye), UAH400 per MT (Group A,3 class rye). State Committee for Material Reserves (State Reserve) is going to purchase 400,000 MT new crop grain up to its 2006 reserves renewal plan. Experts estimate domestic market sugar reserves 0.8 mn MT.
