Groisman: New pension system to be a top priority for Government within 2017
06.03.2017 17:19 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of last week, while sharing an interview with the Inter television channel, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman said the main task for the country and the Government within 2017 is to propose a new pension system that will ensure fairness, boost in pensions and reduction of the Pension Fund deficit, Government Portal reports.
«I will offer to the Ukrainian citizens the new pension system basing on three objective things. The first one is fairness,» Groisman admitted.
As to him, today the Ukrainian pension system is unfair.
«Regardless of whether a person is working or not, as the result he/she gets the same minimum pension. I find it extremely perverse in a way,» the PM noted.
Besides, Groisman added the new pension system is aimed to provide grounds for increasing a real pension for Ukrainian citizens and to reduce the deficit of the Pension Fund by 2024 completely.
Within 2017 it is a main challenge for the country. Ukrainian society aspires further changes in the pension system, Groisman summed up.
