Fekl: French business mission to arrive in Ukraine within 2017

As of yesterday, French Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Promotion of Tourism and French Nationals Abroad Matthias Fekl, within his meeting in Kyiv with Ukrainian First Vice Prime Minister-Economic Development and Trade Minister Stepan Kubiv, said Ukraine is an important partner for the French Republic, and the French business mission is expected to arrive in Ukraine within 2017 to establish cooperation in a number of promising areas, Ukrinform says referring to the Ukrainian Economic Development and Trade Ministry press service report.
As to Fekl, within 2016 French investments into Ukraine exceeded US$1.5 milliard and trade turnover between the two countries boosted by almost 40%.
«France is ranked sixth in Ukraines bilateral trade turnover with EU countries. Over 11 months of 2016, trade turnover between the two countries boosted by 39.7% against 2015, totaling US$1.76 milliard. France is ranked eighth among the countries investing into Ukraine. The volume of its investments came to US$1.53 milliard. In addition, 130 French companies are working in Ukraine today, creating 25,000 jobs,» Fekl said.
As to the report, within the meeting, the parties discussed the promising areas of cooperation, such as energy and energy efficiency, aircraft manufacturing, information technologies, agriculture and infrastructure.
