Kutoviy: Bilateral relations with Latvia important for Ukrainian agro-industrial complex reforming

While speaking within a meeting with Agricultural Minister of the Republic of Latvia Janis Duklavs within the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture 2017 (held in Berlin within this year Jan 2029), Ukrainian Agrarian Policy Minister Taras Kutoviy said the bilateral relations of Ukraine and Latvia within the agriculture sector play an important role in reforming of the Ukrainian agro-industrial complex and the process of European integration, Ukrinform says referring to the Ukrainian Agricultural Ministry press service report.
«Latvia is one of Ukrainian reliable partners, who systematically provides assistance and support to our country on the way of reforms and European integration. In particular, among important directions of cooperation for us are the development of farming, experience of reforms in forestry, cooperation in fishery,» Kutovyi said.
As to the report, within the meeting Kutovyi discussed with his Latvian counterpart the prospects of establishing a fisheries fund in Ukraine and the issue of bringing the Ukrainian legislation within the sphere of forestry into line with the EU requirements.
