As to the report, the PM noted that the Gov had included into the topmost list of activities the task to combat banditry, robbery, rape, theft, carjack.
«Together with the Minister of Internal Affairs, Head of the National police, we have elaborated a set of measures that will allow us to secure efficiency of the Criminal Investigation Department of Ukraine and, first, to pay these fellows, usual police investigators, decent wages and to enable them to effectively perform their duties and fight against crime,» Groisman said.
As to the report, Groisman also said it is crucial to raise responsibility for robbery, theft, assault and other serious crimes. In this context, certain laws recently adopted by the Parliament are to be changed, said the Head of Government. «I think this is a mistake that all of us must correct,» he said.
«We are looking forward to the Ukrainian Parliament to support these initiatives, and we will soon change this law, as the one who kills, rapes, robs must be imprisoned,» the PM said.
