01.09.2016 19:18 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of yesterday, while speaking within a Cabinet meeting, the Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman has urged the Ukrainian local authorities to use a growth of local budgets as a result of the decentralization reform on energy efficiency measures and other problems of community, but not to keep these resources on deposit in banks for interest, Government Portal reports.
«Colleagues, if we want to become energy efficient, invest in infrastructure to create new jobs, improve education system, treatment, we cannot send funds on deposit in banks, at the time when peoples problems are unresolved. Some municipalities just keep billions that should work for the Ukrainian citizens on deposit on a permanent basis. Invest these resources in energy efficiency!» Groisman said.
As to him, these measures will allow them to save money on energy, increase the income of local budgets and enhance the competitiveness of cities, villages and towns.
