Groisman urges every ministry to take measures to combat corruption and report about results
14.07.2016 10:14 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of yesterday, while opening a Government meeting, the Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman said each ministry has to identify the most vulnerable to corruption areas in its field and take immediate measures to eliminate them. Each minister has to report about the results of anti-corruption measures taken, Government Portal reports.
«I will deliver an official statement that each minister should determine 35 areas of potentially high risks of corruption, and suggest how to minimize or eliminate these risks. This is essential,» Groisman admitted.
As to the report, the Head of Government noted that this year Dec 9 is International Anti-Corruption Day. «I think it is a very good date when each minister will report about the anti-corruption activity,» he said.
Reportedly, the Prime Minister urged the ministers to present concrete proposals on this issue. The Government will sum up the results on this year Dec 9, he pointed out.
Also, the Prime Minister highlighted the need to build up a quality system to tackle corruption.
«We should not just say that we want to fight, but really create conditions aimed at eliminating conditions for corruption in the Ministries,» he stressed.
