Ukrainian President started working visit to Turkey

As of today, the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has
started a working visit to Turkey in order to take part in the UN World Humanitarian Summit, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, the President will deliver a speech at the Leadership segment of the World Humanitarian Summit and take part in the open discussion in the form of interactive dialogue.
Also, President will deliver a program statement in the course of the plenary session of the World Humanitarian Summit.
Besides, the President will also participate in High-Level Leaders’ Roundtable «Political Leadership to Prevent and End Conflicts».
It is to be admitted, the visit agenda provides for the meetings with the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. Petro Poroshenko will also have a series of bilateral meetings with state leaders, particularly President of Slovakia Andrej Kiska and Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte.
It is to be mentioned, the World Humanitarian Summit will be the first high-level UN meeting fully dedicated to the humanitarian issue.
The main purpose of the Summit, which is unofficially called «Istanbul - call for action», is to consolidate international efforts in order to respond to humanitarian challenges caused by natural disasters, man-made catastrophes and armed conflicts with a view to reduce suffering of the civilian population.
As to the report, the event will take place at the level of the Heads of State. Almost 40 countries have announced their participation in the Summit. A broad participation of profile ministers and foreign ministers is expected in the discussion of international cooperation and emergencies.
Reportedly, the Summit will also be attended by heads of programs, funds, specialized UN institutions - UNDP, World Bank, IMF, WHO, Food and Agriculture Organization, United Nations Population Fund, International Organization for Migration, ICRC and International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
