As of today, while speaking in his TV address, the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has
urged the MPs to have a responsible attitude regarding tomorrow’s consideration of the package of draft laws that will facilitate the liberalization of the visa-free regime between Ukraine and the EU, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
«Thursday will be a very important day in the Parliament. The efficiency of people’s deputies will determine whether Ukrainians will receive an opportunity to visit the EU countries without visas already in 2016,» Poroshenko said.
As to the report, the President reminded that he had managed to achieve political decision of the European Union regarding the prospect of the visa-free regime at the Eastern Partnership Summit in Riga.
«Yesterday, in the course of the phone conversation, President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker confirmed this prospect,» the President noted.
«Tomorrow’s voting for the whole series of draft laws will mean that Ukraine has completed its homework, fulfilled technical conditions and achieved criteria for the introduction of the visa-free regime. Thus, I urge the MPs to have a responsible attitude towards the given mission, because the fate of the visa-free regime fully depends on you,» the President emphasized adding that he addressed that appeal to all people’s deputies, not only the members of the parliamentary coalition.
