Ukrainian gross foreign debt grows to almost US$127 milliard in Q2

Ukrainian gross foreign debt in the second quarter of 2015 grew by 0.8%, or US$1.007 milliard, from the first quarter of 2015, to US$126.976 milliard, UNIAN reports referring to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) analytical note posted on its official website.
As to the report, the countrys gross foreign debt to GDP grew to 122.8% from 110.5% of GDP within this year first quarter.
Reportedly, the US$ remained the core currency of Ukrainian foreign borrowings as of Jul 1 and accounted for 74.7% of all the liabilities.
As to the report, by the end of this year second quarter, the sector of general public administration accounted for 28.27% of gross external debt (US$35.894 milliard), banks accounted for 12.40% (or US$15.739 milliard), while the share of the Central Bank was 5.18% (or US$6.574 milliard). The remaining sectors owed US$59.027 milliard (or 46.49% of the debt).
