Poroshenko: Minsk agreements must be fulfilled within 2015

While speaking at the briefing within the 12th YES (Yalta European Strategy) Annual Meeting today,
the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko emphasized that all commitments under the Minsk agreements must be fulfilled by the end of 2015, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, Poroshenko noted that prolongation of the Minsk agreements for 2016 is inadmissible.
«Everyone must fulfill the commitments in 2015, because Ukraine has already paid a high price for the non-implementation of the Minsk agreements,» Poroshenko emphasized.
As to the President, Ukraine will persistently demand access to all occupied territories of Ukraine for the OSCE pursuant to the Minsk agreements.
«We will raise the issue of establishing the 5th subgroup on the border. It is inadmissible when the OSCE SMM observers do not have access to the border and the areas where militants must keep their heavy artillery. We know that their heavy weaponry is not located in those areas,» the President said.
As to the report, while speaking about the meeting in Paris between the leaders of the Normandy format scheduled for Oct 2, Petro Poroshenko noted that it should be very well prepared. He also informed that the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Normandy format will be held on Sept 12 to organize preparations to the Paris Summit.
As to the report, Poroshenko didn’t exclude that another meeting might be held within the framework of the UN General Assembly within the late Sept in New York: «I will do everything to prepare the meeting in the Normandy format as thoroughly as possible in order to make the first sprouts of stabilization stronger and steadier».
As to the report, the President was also hopeful that the Ukrainian proposal on the withdrawal of tanks and artillery of caliber up to 100 mm and mortars of caliber up to 120 mm would be endorsed by all the Minsk process’ parties.
