Producers reduce cheeses sale prices due to big surpluses
06.05.2006 10:04 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As to Agrarika Ltd experts, Ukrainian cheese-makers are significantly lowering ready products sale prices owing to big unsold reserves of earlier produced cheeses.
«Previously accumulated cheeses stocks make cheese-makers substantially reduce sale prices,» declared Vasyl Vintoniak, Agrarika Ltd analyst.
Agrarika Ltd experts admit presently most leading branch companies must divide their ready products sales into 3 prices categories: cheeses with storage life about to expire are sold UAH13,0014,00 per kg; cheeses running low demand are offered UAH16,0018,00 per kg; fresh, qualitative cheeses, which enjoy high demand, are presently sold mostly UAH18,00 and up.
As earlier reported, this year Jan-Mar cheeses output totaled 42,677 MT, down 12.200 MT (- 22.18%) against last year Jan-Mar.
2005 full-fat cheeses output had boosted to 271,086 MT, up 48,252 MT against 2004.
Since this year Jan, Ukrainian cheese-makers suffer ready products sales difficulties due to RF Jan 20 embargo on Ukrainian animal products shipments.
