Belarus, Ukraine to expand use of hryvnia in bilateral trade

Belarus and Ukraine have agreed to consider the resumption of electricity deliveries between the two countries and the transit of Ukrainian electricity via Belarus, Belarus Radio reports.
As to the report, consultations on these issues will take place in short time. These matters were discussed at the recent meeting of the intergovernmental Belarusian-Ukrainian joint commission on trade and economic cooperation. Also, the parties agreed on the wider use of the hryvnia in trade between Ukraine and Belarus.
It is to be admitted, the meeting of the intergovernmental Belarusian-Ukrainian joint commission on trade and economic cooperation was held in Chernighiv. Within the meeting the two sides discussed the topical issues and prospects of bilateral cooperation in industry and agriculture, interregional ties, cooperation in transport. Special attention was given to the investment potential, the development of industrial cooperation and the use of financial tools to support mutual trade.
