Yatseniuk: lustration is to be completed

The Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has appealed to all the State executive bodies, including the Interior Ministry, State Fiscal Service, the Security Service and prosecutors «to complete the lustration and hire new, effective officials for the country,» Government Portal says referring to the Yatseniuk report at a meeting of the Ukrainian Ministry of Justice on Mon, Jun 22.
While speaking at the meeting, the PM has stressed that the Venice Commission «clearly stated that those who committed crimes against the Ukrainian state and was part of the Yanukovych’s corrupt regime - have no right to continue to run the country.»
«The process of lustration in the country must be completed. Those who fall under lustration, those who were part of the regime of Viktor Yanukovych, who led the country to poverty, to war, to casualties on Maidan, and now sit with a badge „People’s Deputy of Ukraine» - they have no right to be public servants," Yatseniuk emphasized.
