National Council of Reforms discussed "road map" of establishing Ukraine/EU visa-free regime

As of yesterday, the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko instructed the National Council of Reforms to elaborate clear «road map» of actions aimed at the introduction of visa-free regime with the EU, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, the President noted: «Visa-free regime today is the top priority for the implementation of a substantial package of reforms set as guidelines».
As to Poroshenko, all technical tasks must be implemented by Aug 17 (in part., the improvement of anti-corruption legislation and integrated control over the border, provision of access to the databases, more efficient activity of the Border Service and interaction with the Interpol).
Then, Poroshenko admits, the assessment mission will arrive to Ukraine.
Following the verification, the President expects a report in Nov on the readiness of Ukraine to the introduction of visa-free regime with the EU.
«Such a tense schedule will create an opportunity to obtain visa-free regime in 2016. I want all institutions to strictly comply with this schedule,» he noted.
The President emphasized that the abolition of visas was an absolute priority of our dialogue with the EU.
Besides, the President also criticized the work of the Ukrainian State Migration Service in this regard and said that appropriate staffing changes would be made.
