Yatseniuk stresses privatization is to be honest and transparent

"The State property should become private and create jobs, trigger economic growth and to attract credible investors into the Ukrainian economy", Government Portal reports quoting the Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk as speaking at the Government meeting on Thurs, May 14.
As to the report, Yatseniuk reminded that in the framework of his recent working visit to Paris, he had met with representatives of French business circles and discussed economic cooperation between Ukraine and France «in two core sectors - energy and agricultural sector».
During the meetings of Ukrainian Prime Minister with French President Francois Hollande and Prime Minister of France Manuel Valls, the parties agreed on the arrival to Ukraine of the Minister of Economy and Minister of Agriculture of France to promote «fair and transparent privatization not focusing on Ukrainian oligarchs, but on real investors from the west who will pay the highest price and will introduce new standards for the management of State property».

As to the report, while speaking about the cooperation in the agricultural sector, the Prime Minister informed that a technical mission would arrive to Ukraine «to make the quality standards of Ukrainian agricultural products compliant with the European standards».
«This will provide the Ukrainian agrarian sector with an opportunity to obtain an unlimited access to the markets of member states of the European Union,» the PM said.
«These are our commitments under the free trade area agreement, which will enter into force on 1 Jan 2016,» he added.
«Nobody, except Ukraine and the European Union, will define how and in what deadlines the Agreement on the free trade area should enter into force,» Yatseniuk stressed.
