Abromavicius to participate in first Eastern Partnership ministerial meeting on trade

Within May 78 the Ukrainian Minister of Economic Development and Trade Aivaras Abromavicius will pay a working visit to Brussels, where he is to participate in the first-ever Eastern Partnership ministerial meeting on trade and is scheduled to have a series of top-level meetings in the European institutions, Government Portal reports.
As to the report, the visit’s agenda includes meetings of Aivaras Abromavicius with EU Commissioner for Trade Cecilia Malmström and the Chairman of the Committee on International Trade of the European Parliament Bernd Lange.
Reportedly, Abromavicius will inform European colleagues on the progress of economic reforms in Ukraine, in particular, on further steps towards deregulation of the business environment. Another issue to tackle is the process of preparation for the implementation of the trade component of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU, starting from 1 January 2016.
