UNDP and Ukrainian Ministry of Social Policy inked a Project document on assistance to IDP

The Japanese Government, UNDP, UNICEF and IOM in Ukraine in cooperation with the Ukrainian Government have begun a series of new projects aimed at expanding assistance programs to internally displaced people (IDP) and social and economic recovery of Donbass, Government Portal reports.
As to the report, the signing of the Project document between UNDP and the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine took place on Apr 30.
Reportedly, the UNDP Project on Rapid Response to Social and Economic issues of Internally Displaced People in Ukraine (with a total budget of 6.3 million US dollars) will be implemented jointly with the Ministry of Social Policy and it is aimed at improving the living standards of IDP by creating jobs and business development, as well as increased access to social services, development of institutional capacity of the Government to respond to the challenges of IDP and the promotion of reconciliation and social cohesion.
As to the report, a Project between UNDP and the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine was also signed.
