30.01.2015 11:36 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
On Jan 29, before an extraordinary meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council convened upon the appeal of the Ukrainian side, the Ukrainian Minister for Foreign Affairs Pavlo Klimkin met with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, Government Portal reports.
As to the report, Klimkin briefed the EU High Representative on the significant deterioration of the situation in ATO zone, the first results of investigation into recent terrorist attacks against the civilian population in the Donetsk oblast and direct evidence of Russia’s involvement in committing them.
Reportedly, the Ukrainian Minister for Foreign Affairs expressed gratitude to the European Union and its Member States for united and uncompromising position regarding the condemnation of the intensification of Russian mercenaries’ hostilities.
As to the report, Klimkin called on the Foreign Affairs Council to condemn the crime against humanity committed in Mariupol and recognize Russia’s direct responsibility for this act of terrorism.
In this context, Klimkin emphasized that the only way to stabilize the situation in the Donbas is strict and full implementation by Moscow of Minsk agreements.
