Shymkiv: International investors monitor development of reforms in Ukraine

International investors are closely watching the development of reforms in Ukraine and waiting for the first results. This is the impression of Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine Dmytro Shymkiv from the Ukrainian Investment Summit organized by Adam Smith Institute in London, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, within the briefing, Shymkiv informed that he had held a series of meetings with international investors and representatives of the international banking institutions in the framework of the summit. «Ukraine remains on the radar of investors. They are closely watching the changes in our country. International investors positively evaluate the establishment of the new Government with young faces and global experience,» Shymkiv admitted.
Reportedly, the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration also said that Russian propaganda was distorting the information about Ukraine abroad. According to him, it was extremely important to be present at the summit and explain concrete actions of the Ukrainian authorities to the attendees.
As to the report, Shymkiv also informed on the active functioning of the online platform on communications with the public reforms.in.ua. A lot of comments regarding the improvement of legislation have already been received. «These recommendations are being analyzed,» he has emphasized. Besides, electronic declarations of civil servants subject to verification under the Law on Lustration are now being published on the President’s website.
While speaking of several laws that must be harmonized with the demands of the World Bank, particularly the Regulations on the Accounting Chamber, Shymkiv told that the respective draft law had already been prepared and would be considered by Verkhovna Rada in the coming days.
