UN chief to visit Guinea and Liberia

The countries of West Africa that are most affected by the Ebola virus disease will be visited by the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon during the next several days, UN Radio reports.
As to the report, on Friday, Ban Ki-moon is making stops in Liberia and Sierra Leone.
It is to be admitted, since the outbreak began, 6900 people have died in the region, and nearly 20,000 cases of infection have been reported.
In meanwhile, Ban Ki-moon has said the outbreak of Ebola has challenged the international community in unprecedented ways.
He also said he wants to see the response for himself, show his solidarity with those affected and urge even greater global action.
As to the report, the UN chief is travelling with Dr. Margaret Chan, Director General of the World Health Organization, and Dr. David Nabarro, the Special Envoy on Ebola.
