Yatseniuk believes 2016 can see an additional gas pipeline between Ukraine and Poland

The construction of an additional gas interconnection pipeline between Ukraine and Poland will provide around 80 million cubic meters of gas per day that will allow Ukraine to purchase all the needed gas volume from the EU, Government Portal says referring to the Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk report at the meeting of the anti-crisis energy center on Friday, October 31.
As to the report, the Prime Minister has underlined that he supports the proposal made by NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy and the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine to construct of this pipeline.
He also stressed that an additional gas pipeline will allow buying the additional gas volume up to 80 million cubic meters a day: «This actually means that we will be able to buy all the necessary natural gas from the member states of the European Union.»
Besides, Yatseniuk has emphasized the need to urgently prepare a construction project between Ukraine and Poland and to hold talks with the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on the financing of the project.
«I set the terms for our country to bring this gas pipeline into opeartion within 2016. This is realistic,» the Prime Minister added.
