UN to "fill gaps" in Ebola response in Liberia

"Gaps" in the response to the spread of the deadly Ebola virus in Liberia will be filled by the United Nations, UN Radio says referring to the Chief of the UNs Mission for Ebola Emergency Response (UNMEER) Anthony Banbury report made on his arrival to Liberia on Wednesday.
As to report, Ebola has spread across three West African countries, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea.
The majority of the 3000 deaths have occurred in Liberia.
«UNMEER is here on a two-day learning visit to understand as best we can what are the needs of the international actors who are part of the response to Ebola here what the needs are here, where the gaps are in the response to the fight against Ebola, we will try and fill those gaps as best as possible,» Mr. Banbury said.
It is to be admitted, Mr. Banbury is due to travel to Sierra Leone and Guinea in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the authorities in Dallas, Texas in the United States have confirmed they are treating a patient who had arrived from Liberia for Ebola.
