PM: Japan grants US$100 million of macro-financial assistance for Ukraine

The Ukrainian Government has fulfilled all the conditions to receive the next tranche of the International Monetary Fund and we expect a positive decision during today’s meeting of the Board of the IMF Governors, Government Portal reports quoting the Ukrainian Prime Minister as saying on Friday, August 29.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk informed that the Japanese Government had taken a decision on the granting for Ukraine US$100 million of macro-financial assistance: «Today we are to receive the 100 million dollars.»
The Prime Minister also highlighted that the Ukrainian Government has satisfied every set condition to receive another IMF tranche. He reminded that an issue of granting such assistance to Ukraine would be considered during a meeting of the Board of Governors of the International Monetary Fund in Washington today: «We hope this decision will be positive and that the IMF and the entire world will demonstrate support for Ukraine».
«Overall, Ukraine can receive from the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank the sum of about 2 billion dollars,» the Head of Government said.
