27.08.2014 17:46 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Text of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement will not be changed, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said, NRCU reports.
«Our Russian colleagues should not indulge in wishful thinking. We will not change the agreement text. We will ratify and implement,» Klimkin twitted on Wednesday.
As to earlier reports, Russia’s top officials said they would like to alter the association agreement between Ukraine and the European Union in order to avoid damage to their country’s economy.
«The key words of August 26: peace, hostages, border, and gas. Communication exists on all directions and this is the most important thing. Though it was not and will not be easy for us,» Klimkin said regarding the Tuesday meeting between the Ukrainian President, his counterparts of Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus, and high representatives of the European Union.
It is to be admitted, the President Poroshenko had said earlier that he expects Ukraine’s parliament to ratify the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement and Ukraine will hand over the documents ratified to relevant EU agencies.
