Ukrainian president: All reform projects must be integrated in "Strategy 2020"

In his speech at the constituent assembly of the National Council of Reforms President Petro Poroshenko said that the war can not be an excuse for the lack of reform, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
«National Council of Reforms is established to plan and implement reforms for the public, together with the public, and controlled by the public», stressed the President.
Petro Poroshenko said that the consultations are continuing with the representatives of the NGOs on the designation of representatives to be directly included in the National Council. In addition, the Advisory Board of the National Council of Reforms will include a few dozen of well-known public figures and experts, including world-class specialists.
The President said that the main characteristics of reforms in the country should be simplicity, transparency and attractiveness.
The strategic directions of reforms, as stressed the President, are attracting investment, de-monopolization and deregulation.
Also, Petro Poroshenko expressed confidence that soon it will be possible to reduce the number of regulatory bodies from 83 to 19. «Presidential Administration and the Ministry of Economy have worked out and continue to elaborate a package of deregulation initiatives, which are to be supported by the Verkhovna Rada and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine», he said.
According to the President, all reform projects must be integrated in the «Strategy 2020», which will let to put on the agenda the prospect of Ukraine’s EU membership. «It is our goal», he emphasized.
«As for now, an Association Agreement with the EU should be considered as integrated document providing the framework of reforms. And that is why I am convinced that the Verkhovna Rada together with its ratification has to approve the national plan for the implementation of this Agreement designed by us, which requires immediate pro-depth changes in all areas of life», stressed the President.
Speaking of transparency as one of the basic principles of reforms, the President announced that by the end of August the Presidential Administration will launch the transition to electronic workflow system, and by the end of the year all state administrations should switch to such system.
