Ukrainian State Agricultural Inspection operative data on crops harvesting

22.07.2014 12:19 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As to operative data of State Agricultural Inspections of AR of Crimea, regions, Kyiv and Sevastopol, as of this year Jul 17, agricultural companies have threshed grains, leguminous crops and oilseeds at 5.308 mn ha and harvested 15.669 mn MT grains, leguminous crops and oilseeds, incl. wheat — 9.528 mn MT (average yield — 30 metric centners per ha), barley — 4.742 mn MT (31,7), rye — 19,000 MT (23,5), ripe — 1.156 mn MT (27,7), oats — 9,000 MT (13,03) and peas — 215,000 MT (24,3). As for 2014 crops’ quality, territorial subdivisions of Ukrainian State Agricultural Inspections have examined grains and oilseeds received by certified and grain warehouses registered in Ukrainian National Main Register, with following classes having been recognized: wheat — 1 class (14,873 MT or 0.91% total received); 2 class (465,872 MT or 28.46%); 3 class (546,437 MT or 33.38%); 4 class (52,840 MT or 3.23%); 5 class (242,885 MT or 14.84%); 6 class (307,215 MT or 18.77%); non-standard (6,866 MT or 0.42%); barley — 1 class (3,933 MT); 3 class (1.341,006 MT); 2 class beer quality barley (10,495 MT); rye — 2 class (988 MT); triticale — 3 class (412 MT); rape — highest class (23,946 MT); 1 class (325,356 MT); 2 class (531 MT); non-standard (1,064 MT) and peas — 3 class (10, 790 MT).
