Semerak: European standard for public procurement

The Cabinet of Ministers at its next meeting is to approve new version of the Law on «Public Procurement», Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Ostap Semerak said after the Government’s session, Government Portal reports.
As the Minister noted, there are 44 exceptions from public procurement procedures under present law. The government plans to reduce them to 9 items, according to the norms of the European Union.
Also, as Ostap Semerak said, the Government continues to reform the Cabinet of Ministers, Secretariat of the Cabinet and regulatory procedures. Moreover, the Government has created 4 government committees that will examine issues on the agenda of a Cabinet meeting on the eve of this meeting.
«Government committees will enlist MPs in order to bring the discussion between the Government and the Parliament during the development of draft acts prepared by the Government. This process will engage public organizations and associations,» he emphasized.
In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers has considered the draft regulations aimed at visa liberalization. Moreover, Ministers discussed the provisions on discrimination, data protection, the fight against corruption and work towards the refugees.
