Ukrainian Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk met with his Moldavian counterpart Yuri Leanca

On Monday, March 17, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk met with his Moldavian counterpart Yuri Leanca, Government Portal reports.
The sides discussed the current developments in Ukraine and the integration with the European Union.
Yatseniuk has expressed hope that the meeting with the Prime Minister of Moldova will give a new impetus to bilateral relations between Ukraine and Moldova.
He congratulated the Moldovan counterpart with a significant advance towards visa-free regime with the European Union.
Yuri Leanca expressed the hope that in May the citizens of his country would cross the border of the EU with Moldavian passports.
The Ukrainian Prime Minister, in turn, expressed hope that the Ukrainian Parliament and the Government in the near future would decide the transition to the second stage of preparation for the visa-free regime. «I hope that in the next two weeks we will take all decisions,» he said.
The Head of the Moldovan Government wished success and offered the help of his government: «We accumulated some experience - sometimes positive, sometimes negative. We are happy to share it».
Yuri Leanca also stressed the importance of bilateral relations between Ukraine and Moldova, in particular trade and economic ones. He noted the need to jointly discuss ways out of the difficult situation due to the developments in Ukraine with minimal losses.
