Baranivskiy: cheeses prices in Russia up 15% due to Ukrainian animal products import ban

As to Oleksandr Baranivskiy, Minister of Agrarian Policy, Feb 3 Poltava press-conference report, hard cheeses prices in Russia have boosted by 15% owing to Russia having imposed embargo on Ukrainian animal products import.
"In Russia hard cheeses prices have grown over 15% already, — due to reserves of products earlier purchased in Ukraine are running out. This is their importers information. Any new products aren’t permitted to be brought in, — though permissions are often given for «necessary people,» said Baranivskiy.
He made it known cheeses which Russia is going to import from other countries will be much more expensive as of Ukrainian.
«Russia is not less interested in our products as we in Russian ones,» stated Minister.
As earlier reported, Baranivskiy declared RF ban on Ukrainian animal products import is nothing but political step.
Ukrainian dairy and meat products producers don’t exclude monthly losses correspondingly US$50–60 million and US$12–15 million.
Jan 20, RF banned all kinds Ukrainian animal products import.
