Kwasniewski: Association with Ukraine won't be signed in Vilnius
22.11.2013 15:35 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
An association agreement between Ukraine and the EU will not be signed at the Eastern Partnership Summit in Vilnius next week, former Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski told the Polish Press Agency on Thursday, NRCU reports.
He said the move of the Ukrainian government to suspend the preparations for the signing of the Association Agreement is an «appeal for a break in the negotiations for the period of arranging economic issues in Ukraine.» In his view, the governments decision stems from agreements, which in recent days have been reached with Russia. Kwasniewski who co-heads the monitoring mission of the European parliament to Ukraine said they would report to the European Parliament next week, and that their mission is completed. «Its a pity that it is not completed with the signature,» Kwasniewski said. He added that it is «the decision of the Ukrainian government, not Europes.»
