25.10.2013 11:47 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
The Head of the Ukrainian Government gave the order to find additional incentives of expanding the domestic consumption demand for domestic products. It was announced during the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on 23 October, Mykola Azarov Official Website reports.
Mykola Azarov noted that in January -September, the retail trade has been the leader of economic growth: the turnover increased by almost 10 % compared to the same period of the last year and all this is at a near-zero inflation. However, the demand is slowly turning to the goods of foreign origin. The share of sales of the goods produced in the territory of Ukraine in the first half of 2013 was 58% against 60 % in the first half of 2012. Consequently, the domestic consumer demand is maintained at a high level, but it is not used by the domestic enterprises. The importers use it.
«I assign the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Industrial Policy to analyze the implementation of the measures on imports substitution and to report on the additional incentives needed to expand the domestic consumption demand for domestic products,» said the Prime Minister.
