President participates in Nationwide Forum of Youth

President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych took part in the Nationwide Forum of Youth held in Kyiv within the Nationwide Festival of Youth, President Viktor Yanukovych Press Office reports.
«Nowadays, Ukraine is standing on the verge of a new time related to the modernization of our state. I am confident that it is the youth who shall take the most active part in this important and responsible work. It is the youth who shall express their opinion regarding modern, developed and democratic Ukraine,» the Head of State noted in the course of his speech at the forum.
According to Viktor Yanukovych, Ukraine has got all the reasons to be proud of its youth - highly-educated and full of creative energy. The President reminded that in 2013, Ukrainian pupils had won 6 gold, 6 silver and 13 bronze medals within the international academic competitions.
«Last year, Ukrainian students won the Grand Prix in math, 8 Ukrainian teams entered the top-10 winning teams on programming. Our young compatriots have repeatedly conquered the world chess Olympus, they are unbeaten in many kinds of sports,» the Head of State stressed.
Before the event, Viktor Yanukovych examined the exhibition of achievements in the implementation of the youth policy of Ukraine and communicated with representatives of youth who received grants of the President of Ukraine. Senior Research Fellow of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics of NAS of Ukraine Olga Brovarets told the President about her work under the grant. On behalf of the grant owners, she expressed gratitude to the President for his support to young scientists. «I wish you a strong health and a strong will on the way to European integration. It is your historical mission to complete this case,» she said.
Young people presented Viktor Yanukovych an album «Kyiv - the city that survived the war» with some unique photos of the capital of Ukraine in war time. It is the result of work under the grant «Kyiv - 1941–43».
