Mykola Azarov meets with participants of OSCE youth summit and Let's Change the World for the Better! International children's festival

Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov has met with participants of OSCE youth summit and the 12 International children’s festival «Let’s Change the World for the Better!», Government Portal reports.
The Head of Government is convinced that public activity of the children, their concern about problems of the united Europe proves that Eurointegration of Ukraine is based on strong public background. The future of Ukraine as a European state is ensured not only by the authorities but the younger generation as well.
«I am pleased to meet with the most active representatives of such serious youth movement. It is extremely interesting when on your level there are considered and solved issues of interaction among children of all countries from the point of view of maintaining peace and safety,» Mykola Azarov stressed.
He emphasized the Government had supported an initiative of holding in Ukraine of OSCE Youth and Children Summit and the International children’s festival. The Premier also added that it was not occasionally that Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara was participating in the meeting who is also OSCE Chairperson-in-Office.
To the event with the Head of the Government there had been invited 25 participants of the summit from various regions of Ukraine. The children informed Mykola Azarov on approved final documents during the festival and the summit and handed them over to the Prime Minister with a proposition to cooperate in the future.
Mykola Azarov highlighted our country was among those countries that had been first to ratify the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the authorities were actively improving the national legislative base concerning protection of the children’s rights pursuant to the international standards. On implementation of a social initiative of the President of Ukraine the Government creates relevant conditions for improvement of material state of families with children, development of children, their social protection and support which contributes to ensuring guarantees in realization of legal interests and rights of children.
The 12 International children’s festival «Let’s Change the World for the Better!» and the first OSCE Youth and Children Summit that took place at the International children’s center Artek had gathered a record number of delegations from 60 states from all world continents. Praising highly the contribution of the festival into development of interstate relations, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Social Policy render annual support in holding it.
Organizers of the festival are all-Ukrainian Charitable Foundation of Hope and Good, that is chaired by advisor to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Valentyna Dovzhenko, and the International children’s center Artek.
