Ukraine is working at finding the best ways of cooperation both with the Customs Union and the EU

The fact that after the signing of the Association Agreement with the European Union Ukraine will create a free trade zone with the EU should be taken for granted. This was delivered by the Prime Minister at the CMU meeting on 28 August 2013, Mykola Azarov Official Website reports.
Mykola Azarov said that Ukraine is expending great efforts to develop mutually beneficial cooperation with other countries.
He said that after the signing of the Association Agreement with the European Union Ukraine would form a free trade zone with the EU.
«The fact, that during a year, a new formation, the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan appeared on our borders, we accept as a given environment in which we should work. And the fact that from 1 January 2015 this association will come to a higher level of integration and the subject of cooperation will become the Eurasian Economic Union, we also accept as an objective factor of the economic relations. And so now the power and business of Ukraine vigorously adjust their actions to ensure that the mutual trade with the EEC have no barriers,» said the head of the Government.
The Prime Minister insists that «these integration projects should not opposed one with another, on the contrary, it is necessary to find out the best ways of working together.»
According to Mykola Azarov, in the interests of mutually beneficial cooperation Ukraine is ready to gradually join the separate agreements being in force in the Customs Union in order to optimize the trade regime.
The Head of the Government assigned the Commissioner to the Board of the Eurasian Economic Community, Viktor Suslov, together with the Russian counterparts to find their position and propose a plan of action in this direction.
