09.08.2013 14:36 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Since the beginning of the year, Ukrainian tax payers were recovered UAH 33.5 billion of VAT (though the total amount of applications from tax payers was UAH 30.7 billion), Government Portal reports referring to the Ukrainian Ministry of Incomes and Fees.
Compared with the corresponding period of the last year, the sum of the budgetary compensation increased by 24.2%, payers were refund by more than UAH 6.5 billion.
According to the analysts of the Ministry of Incomes and Fees, a stable tendency on exceeding the reimbursed amounts above applications has been from the previous year. So, in particular, for the entire year 2012 taxpayers was recovered UAH 46 billion when the declared sum was UAH 43.3 billion.
From the current amount of compensation of more than 40% was refund in automatic mode. During January-July 2013 426 payers received 13.6 billion UAH of VAT-refund in automatic mode.
However, as before, mechanism of automatic compensation remains inaccessible for many payers due to low wages.
According to the criteria for VAT-refund in automatic mode, the average wage has to exceed the minimal wage of not less than by 2.5 times. However, when taking into account the results of processing of declarations submitted within June 2013, this criterion can’t be complied with by almost 1.4 thousand of tax payers.
