07.08.2013 08:02 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
The United Nations is committed to ensuring that young peoples voices are reflected in discussions on shaping the future.
Thats what UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon told hundreds of youth participating in a global interactive dialogue taking place on Monday in the General Assembly Hall, UN Radio reports.
He cited a global survey which shows young peoples concerns include better job opportunities, a good education, and increased efforts to tackle climate change.
«I am fully committed to working with youth and exploring how you can contribute more to create a sustainable, equitable future of opportunity and dignity of all. The United Nations is committed to making your voices heard and your voices be reflected in shaping the future, better for all,» Mr. Bam emphasized.
Mr. Ban pointed out that half the worlds population is under 25 years old, making this generation of young people the largest in history.
