Belarus, OECD discuss approaches to national competitiveness

Belarus and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) are discussing approaches to the development of national competitiveness, Belarus Radio reports.
The relevant topic was high on the agenda of a meeting between Belarusian Deputy Economy Minister Dmitry Golukhov and OECD Deputy Secretary-General Richard Boucher in Warsaw. Dmitry Golukhov and Richard Boucher exchanged views on the further cooperation between Belarus and the OECD. The development of cooperation is aimed at improving national competitiveness by implementing the OECD Eastern Europe and South Caucasus Competitiveness Initiative which also concerns investments and the development of private sector. Dmitry Golukhov also partakes in a roundtable session which discusses the improvement of competitiveness in the Eurasian countries. The session is set to approve the Ministers’ Declaration and action plan for 20132015. The document will outline concrete mechanisms of consultative support for the reforms aimed to improve competitiveness in Eurasia.
