SPIEF-2013 Third Day: Summing Up the Results

On its last day today, the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) will focus on environmental protection, problems of businessmen and will end in a roundtable discussion of intellectual property protection, Voice of Russia reports.
The guests and participants will first have a business lunch to concentrate on the development of IT and Telecom companies. According to experts, the development of the Russian IT-Industry largely depends on the creation of a comfortable working environment for businesses, as well as the availability of investment. Increasingly important is the quest for new facilities to invest in, in the sectors of the economy that could show explosive growth due to innovative solutions.
Also on the agenda, there is a discussion of the regions’ role in the crisis-caused macroeconomic change.
In another hall, Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, Sergei Donskoi, will elaborate on the government environmental protection policy.
The parties to the discussion will take up the methods of management that will enable Russia to use the advantages of «green» principles to boost productive capacity and competitive power.
The partiers to the forum will also focus on ways to improve the corporate governance standards in Russia.
