President: Ukraine considers presidency in OSCE as opportunity to strengthen stability and security in region

Ukraine as a country that currently presides in the OSCE is interested in cooperation with the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly on all topical issues of the agenda.
«We consider Ukraine’s presidency in the OSCE a great opportunity to contribute to strengthening of stability and security in the region,» the President noted at the meeting with Acting President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Wolfgang Grossruck, President Viktor Yanukovych Press Office reports.
The Head of State emphasized that Ukraine was willing to hold constructive cooperation with states-members of the OSCE. «We are trying to hold open and topical discussion with states-members of the OSCE on the priorities of organization’s functioning suggested by Ukraine,» Viktor Yanukovych said.
The President also expressed belief that the new delegation of Ukraine in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly would actively participate in its work.
In his turn, Acting President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Wolfgang Grossruck noted that Ukraine had always been an active participant of all OSCE processes.
«Ukraine’s presidency has its priorities and Ukraine is really an active country in the OSCE. Ukrainian delegation always played an important part in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly,» he stressed.
