More than 90 Ukrainian settlements flooded

Rise in ground water level resulting in partial flooding of areas in 98 cities of Ukraine is observed due to rainfall and snowmelt, ForUm reports referring to the State Emergency Service press office.
According to authorities, 57 settlements are flooded in Kyiv region, one in Vinnytsia region, 16 in Volyn region, 12 in Zhytomyr region, 1 in Lviv region, 7 in Rivne region.
109 residential buildings are partially flooded in these settlements, particularly 44 in Kyiv region, 2 in Lviv region, 63 in Rivne region.
During the last twenty-four hours, 259 rescuers and 92 units of pumping equipment of the State Emergency Service helped people to pump water out. Thus, 28.910 thousand cubic meters of water were pumped out. During the period since April 2, 879.204 thousand cubic meters of water have been pumped out.
