In the first quarter of 2013, tax revenues to the state budget of Ukraine grew by almost 8% compared to January-March 2012, incomes and fees minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Klimenko told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
The official said that only in March increase in revenues to the state budget grew by almost 17% in the year’s comparison. «I can assure everyone that execution of the state budget is stable and there are no threats to this situation,» he said.
He said that the increase in incomes was reached not due to the pressure on the business, but because of new excise tax on tobacco products, the development of taxation of securities, as well as due to risk-oriented system, introduced by tax officers.
«As a result, scheduled inspections were reduced by almost 24% in the first quarter. Today I signed the schedule of inspections for the second quarter, and there the tendency is kept. There are positive developments in terms of advance payments. Only 8% of all its payers made income tax payments in advance in January-March. The rest will file the annual declaration. Any enterprise will answer you how many time is saved if shift from quarterly to annual accounts,» the official noted.
He added that companies, which pay income tax in Ukraine, should be stimulated and supported. «This is the aim of the bill on transfer pricing, and of some changes in the collection of income tax. Thus, it is reasonable and logical to let businesses enter dividends as advanced payments it will stimulate work in the Ukrainian territory of residence,» Klimenko concluded.
