Ukrainian President emphasized the necessity of creating the new system of response to man-made and natural disasters. It was stated by the President at the meeting of NDSC within last week, President Viktor Yanukovych Press Office reports.
«We must create an absolutely new high-quality system that could efficiently respond to man-made and natural disasters,» he said.
«The main goal of further reorganization of the system of response to emergencies is to create an efficient state management in order to overcome natural and man-made disasters in conditions of restricted resources,» the Head of State noted. «By uniting functions of the MIA and State Emergency Service of Ukraine, we have increased the opportunities to protect and save people as well as restore the functioning of important infrastructure objects,» he emphasized.
Attracting militaries of the AFU will contribute to more flexible response to the disasters. «We must establish certain parameters and organize efficient cooperation in this context. I am waiting for reasoned proposals on this issue,» the President added.
