Company Mais (Dnipropetrovsk) has became, first among all Ukrainian private companies, a full member of the International Seed Testing Association (ISTA), with corresponding Certificate awarded.
«Now Association sets rules of the seeds’ quality testing and certification for all global market participants. We have made a first step - we have received the membership in this organization, what is necessary to perform later on the accreditation of our laboratory up to the ISTA standards and be authorized to issue orange ISTA International Seed Analysis Certificates for the commercial seeds’ lots. That’s a long-term process demanding equipment, skilled personnel, strict compliance with international rules and regulations. International Seed Testing Association (ISTA) was founded in 1924 during the 4th International Seed Congress on Seed Quality Control (Cambridge, UK). Association incorporates 201 laboratories, 52 individual members and 42 associate members from 79 countries. 120 ISTA Member Laboratories have been accredited by ISTA and authorized to issue ISTA International Seed Analysis Certificates.
