Groisman about cooperation with IMF: We must remain committed to continuing reform process

07.07.2017 14:57 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of today, while speaking within an investment conference Dragon Capital Ukraine Invest in London, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman has said the Ukrainian Government remains committed to staying on course of reforms and will continue to implement the current reforms program, agreed with one of the key partners of Ukraine, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Government Portal reports. As to the report, the event was held within the framework of the Ukrainian Prime Minister visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. «We have an open partnership dialogue as well as a mutual understanding, which offers an opportunity to reach the most optimal decisions in the interests of people and in the development of the state. We have a reform agenda as well as mechanisms to achieve these goals. The collaboration with the IMF will be continued within the framework of the program that we have determined. We must be predictable, consistent and committed,» Groisman admitted. As to the report, Groisman reminded that the Government had switched to medium-term planning, hence transformations in the pension, educational, medical, land and privatization sectors are in the list of far-reaching reforms. «Ukraine needs these reforms, not the International Monetary Fund. Pressing ahead these changes will enable us to overcome the crisis and to ensure sustainable economic development,» he stressed.
