President had a meeting with Keidanren Japan Business Federation delegation

As of today, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has had a meeting with delegation of the Committee for Business Cooperation with Ukraine of Keidanren Japan Business Federation headed by Chairman of Marubeni Corporation Teruo Asada, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, the parties discussed ways to expand investment and trade-economic cooperation between Ukraine and Japan.
Reportedly, Teruo Asada noted that due to the reforms held within Ukraine over the past few years, our country had become one of the most promising states in terms of business and investment.
Reportedly, within this context, the parties praised the holding of the joint meeting of the Coordinating Council for Economic Cooperation with Japan under the Ministry for Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine and the Committee for Business Cooperation with Ukraine of Keidanren Japan Business Federation.
As to the report, they also discussed the enhancement of cooperation with the Government of Japan and Japanese business in the implementation of large-scale projects in Ukraine in the sphere of infrastructure development, energy, environmental protection, information technologies etc. The President added that it is a reflection of Ukrainian-Japanese relations - a friend in need is a friend indeed.
Besides, the parties have also negotiated ways to intensify interpersonal contacts and establishment of direct air communication between Ukraine and Japan.
